About Riverdesk
Riverdesk is a local-browser notes workspace. It is an independent web project, not an online storage service. There are no accounts, subscriptions, payments, shared workspaces, or cloud synchronization.
The workspace opens with a few clearly labeled example notes. You can edit or remove them. New notes, changes, pins, and deletions are saved in this browser when local storage is available. Search looks through titles and note text.
Keep a copy of important work
Use the export control to download all notes as a JSON backup. The import control accepts that same format and adds the notes to your existing collection; it never silently replaces your notebook. You can also download the selected note as a plain-text file.
Browser storage is not a backup. Clearing site data, using a private window, or changing browser or device can remove or hide your notes. A full or restricted browser may prevent saving. The save status reports this when it happens. Do not use this workspace as the only copy of sensitive or irreplaceable information.
